Updates

8/29/18

Hello Western Hills Community,

Yes, it was hot, but it was still a great first day of school at Western Hills!  I can’t thank all of my faculty and staff enough for working so hard to ensure that we had a smooth opening day. There were many smiling faces today, especially among 6th graders, as they made their way around the building looking for their classes, seeing old friends, and meeting their new teachers.

Here is some information regarding Cross Country and Unified Cross Country.  Students that want to participate must sign-up on the district website (cpsed.net) and bring in all of the necessary paperwork.

Cross Country

There will be an information meeting after school this Friday (students and parents) for anyone interested in participating in cross country.  Practice will begin on Tuesday after school.

Unified Cross Country

Unified Cross Country is for students with special needs (“athletes”) and regular education students (“partners”).  The “partners” will be assisting the “athletes” at practices and meets. The first practice is next Wednesday from 2:30-3:30.  Everyone will meet in the gym here at Western Hills. Just like the school Cross Country team, the Unified team will be competing against other schools which includes travelling on a bus to away meets.
