Hello Western Hill Community,
Yes, we’ve got this! Western is all ready to go and we are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning!
Students will be released from the cafeteria and auditorium at 7:50 tomorrow to their homerooms. Faculty and staff will be on-hand to direct students to their homerooms. Please know that, throughout the year, students must be in their seat in homeroom by 8:05 so they are not late. Dismissal is at 2:20.
The parking lot is typically crowded every morning, but it is especially crowded on the first day of school. Please be mindful of all the students that need to be dropped off and please be patient with the traffic. As always, cars need to pull up as far as possible in front of the school in order to keep the traffic moving as best as it can.
As of right now, the only sport that has announced tryouts is boys’ soccer. They will begin with the 6th grade tryout on Tuesday of next week, followed by everyone else on Wednesday and Thursday. Students that want to try out for any sport must sign-up on cpsed.net and have all of the required paperwork completed before they participate. Failure to complete the paperwork could cause your child to miss tryouts.
For your planning purposes, Open House will be on September 26 at 6:00pm for the 6th and 7th grades. The 8th grade Open House will be on September 27th for the 8th grade.
