UPDATE

Hello Western Hills Community,

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the day that we will be honoring the former Cranston native that was shot down in Vietnam on August 13, 1965.  Our students will be going out to the edge of our property, on Phenix Avenue, tomorrow at 12:30 to honor Lt. Col. Fredric Moore Mellor as his remains go by our school on the way to the funeral home.

Although it is not required, we ask that students consider dressing nicely for this tribute.  We will do our best to get all students out there tomorrow but it may be difficult for students that have third lunch.  Those students will be allowed to go out as well but their lunch will be shortened if they make that decision. It may rain tomorrow so students may want to consider bringing an umbrella, raincoats, and/or a hat.

Any parents or grandparents that would like to attend are welcome.  We would be especially proud to have any military veterans join us. It would be nice to have Vietnam veterans present with us.

We are asking that any non-school people that attend stay separate from our students.  The students and faculty will be on the tennis court side of our driveway and we ask that all others be on the side where our sign is located.
